Thanks everyone for crashreports!
Two big bugs fixed and now Alpha 5.2 is out: Knights Province Alpha 5.2
P.S. Still trying to isolate and fix “Exception in script: ‘Integer overflow’ in procedure ‘CHECKVICTORY'” exception happening in mission script..
Hi Krom. Thank you for what you doing – the game just fantastic. I can not wait, when come the stable version.
I have an idea.
How about a geologist like in Settlers ? Who searches for the minerals (coal, iron ore, water ). As well, can be added a well for the extraction of water for the bakery, cider, horses. Тo make the process of creating more realistic.
Hi, thanks for writing!
I was thinking about Geologists and Wells a lot and what sets me off – they will make the game slower and more complicated. I’m not sure this is what KP needs to be. Anyway, it is still in Alpha and a lot might change 🙂
Access violation error in xp sp2 launch of KP.
Hi, What was the error text? Does it repeat?
Exception occured: EAccessViolation: Acccess violation at address 00000000 in module ‘KnightProvince.exe’. Read of address 00000000
Is there anything written in logs (KnightsProvince\Logs\) or did you get a dialog box with “Send crashreport” button?
I got logs files in logs and dialog box with “bug report”. Two times bug report send. Now i am sending another bug report at 3:22 pm (GMT +5:30)
Thanks for sending!
I will be able to take a look at them in the evening I hope.
Hi,
The error text i replied in last post and Every time showing this error .
What Krom asked is if you could please send the crash report.
There is a button with an envelope and the text “Send bug report” as soon as the error comes up.
Like this: http://madshi.net/exc-ss3.gif
If you send the report Krom can look at the bug report to determine what went wrong.
This will only send essential information.
Nothing personal will be sent.
Only the info “Exception occured:
EAccessViolation: Acccess violation at address 00000000 in module ‘KnightProvince.exe’.
Read of address 00000000” is not helpful, this can be anything.
It means the program could not access something.
Probably variable within an object, yet this might be something else then my guess. 🙂
